Now that I am back to the game I notice he impact of weather changing between player turns is having too much of an impact on the game. I understand the realism of it but first and foremost this is a game, not a historical replay. I'd like to strongly advocate for the same weather to apply for all players during the same turn.

What is this 'too much of an impact on the game' that you just noticed ?

Easily modded by choosing "simultaneous" turns in the editor. Note this may mess up various scripts however...

How does simultaneous work? Do both PBEM have to be on line???? Is it a rush to see who can play quicker? Has anyone tried it?

I agree with YohanTM that weather can have an unintended good or bad consequences. Without a significant game mod I think you just have to live with it. "Sometimes you get the bear and sometimes the bear gets you. But you always get bear hair all over you."
