Is there a game tutorial out there? I don't see one in the game and no real newbie play through online. Seems like there is WAY too much to do and things to click without something being out there.

I don't think there's any tutorial, no.

What I did was: play on the easiest difficulty and choose only 1 nation while the AI handled the rest (allies and foes alike). It wasn't too overwhelming to play a few turns to get the hang of things.

And I found this series of articles to be really helpful too http://www.wargamer.com/articles/strategic-command-wwii-war-in-europe-barbarossa-and-beyond-part-1/, in addition to the many war room discussion and tips disseminated here and there.
