AI and Destruction of Units

I'd like to check the following mechanics.

Effects of losing a unit while at supply above 5. (Above 4?)
1. The units costs half as much to rebuild.
2. Costs of upgrades do not change.
3. Time to rebuild is cut in half.
4. The unit is NOT eliminated from the force pool. (That is, if the unit dies at less than 5 supply it can no longer be rebuilt. While there are some 'extra' units in the force pool to replace it, you can run out of those as well.

It appears that #4 is not true for the AI. If the AI loses a unit at less than 5 supply it does not leave the force pool.

Can anybody confirm that?

The unit will remain in the force pool for both humans and the AI, unless it is an HQ lost at sea.

The ability to buy back for both humans and AI at a cheaper price is also the same.

What makes you think the AI somehow benefits from something humans don't?

I tested it. I surrounded some AI units, US Corps. I counted the number of US Corps on the board + in the "US Production Table" + those in under the "Set Name" in the allowable production screen.

If I lost a unit under 5 supply that total went down by 1.
If the AI lost a unit under 5 supply that total did not go down by 1.

Unless I mucked it up somehow.

Should I recheck?

(And I had no idea that HQ lost at sea were lost to the force pool.)

(And I have since found that AI AV units go down in supply until they hit 7, (I believe, could be lower,) then they don't lose supply any longer. American AI AV's take forever to reach Britain but they don't slow down and arrive with some supply.)

I don't think your allowable builds should have reduced, the only time this could happen is if you were already over your maximum allowable builds - which can happen in some cases. Not normally with Corps though, though it might depend on what campaign this is in.
