Attached a screenshot, their is no Industrial Center nor capital yet the UK can deploy aircraft reinforcements their.

I checked the manual and it says it requires either an Industrial Center or a Capital.

I am thinking this is a bug, its only aircraft.

Just reviewing and air units, as purchase or new unit placements, can be placed in any 'home' city, settlement etc., when the country is set to 'Home Builds', e.g. even if not connected to the capital.

Because Cyprus is set as 'UK' it is technically 'home' territory, and satisfies the code in this instance.

But only air power can do this not land units.

My understanding is that it needs to connect to an industrial center or capital.

Why is air power allowed but not land units.

Note this is an exploit for the UK player. They can deploy air units around the world and not pay the cost.

At this point I honestly don't remember why air units are allowed to be placed as 'new' units anywhere in home territory, just that it is definitely set this way purposefully in the code, so likely a reason at one time to have this as the default function.

Not just for the UK. Italian air units can deploy in Libya and Rhodes (if you move or disband the Rhodes garrison). However, not in Ethiopia. US air units can deploy anywhere from Puerto Rico to American Samoa. Japanese air units can deploy in Korea, Formosa and in most of their scattered Pacific Mandate island possessions. French air units can appear in Syria and their African colonies as far south as Brazzaville in the French Congo. Even New Caledonia in the Pacific. (At least prior to the fall of France). Madagascar seems to be an exception though.

You'd have to be careful about putting a UK air unit in a spot like Bermuda or Trinadad. Once the bases for destroyers' agreement goes into effect these places become nominal US territory and the UK air unit goes poof if still present. I don't know if it's destroyed or disbanded.

Interesting. The British retain this overseas air deployment ability in Strategic Command: WWI. You can deploy UK airships and aircraft at Gibraltar, Cyprus and Kuwait. However, the French can't do likewise in Tunisa, Algeria or Morrocco.
