Old Files from Gamesquad

Post by Elemental »

Re-visiting TOAW after a 10 year rest.

Love the new version.

Sad to see some of the online resources vanish, in particular the map files that were on on Gamesquad. I'm looking for a Falklands map that I uploaded there about 15 years ago! Did any of the veteran players manage to archive the maps? I have tried way-back machine - but those particular pages weren't cached...

Good to be back.

First of all welcome back, you're among friends. I made a special trip to Rugged Defense and looked up some of the Argentina / Britain war and I found a couple of scenarios that would have a map that you might be able to use. Take a look and see if this helps at all.

Thanks Larry. I had secretly hoped that somebody had created a scenario with my half-finished map - but sadly not. I recall spending a fair bit of time on it using hexagon printout overlays and maps using an A3 printer...

Try the map editor in ODD by Curt Chambers. Lays a hexgrid over a .bmp map. http://yves.lr.pagesperso-orange.fr/ODD/ODD.htm
