Here's my progress. Turn 26. Advancing well, soviet armies are destroyed and battered, they're mustering whatever they can.

Next 2 weeks I am focusing on destroying Kiev, taking Tula and encircling Rzhev as it keeps changing hands. I want to destroy the 30th and 39th armies in Olenino to ease the capture of Rzhev.

Most importantly, I have captured Leningrad, Kaluga, Dnepetrovsk, Odessa and many other important cities. Soviets are massively understrenght in Moscow. Mos divisions that were supposed to hold Mozhaysk were either destroyed or distrubuted elsewhere.

I have massively bombared railways and bridges severely delaying Soviet reinforcements. This was key to this succesful Blitz.

I have some questions. How do you organize yourself in the scenario with so many units and so many factors to take into account? do you move your formations in order (clic min Gon “O” and moving your counters in order) or according to what you see at each moment?
Then also, do you somehow track the situation and deployment of your troops in some way (in a Word document, using maps or something)?

First of all knowledge of the Eastern front is mandatory, its good to have at least a basic idea of where and when each army group was, it gives a clearer picture of whats to come.

In the very 1st turn before any movement I carefully checked what routes Soviets would most likely take to reinforce areas, bombed vital railways junctions and crossings to delay any advancements.

I then proceed to organise all my Air units, I like to move the top air groups in the air directive menu to the northern part of the map to keep everything easy to navigate. I don't really care much for historical authenticity as I am not looking to recreate history, rather to learn from it.

As for my Ground units I first plan out the objectives of Panzer divisions, mechanised and then finally infantry. Thanks to the color code of each army group its easy to move and distribute everyone. As for the movement itself I tend to pre plan my objectives for the next 10 turns and then move in that general direction. I adapt as the situation unfolds. Bare in mind i have over 700hrs of playtime on steam, if you're new then I would suggest you just practice, trial and error.

That's pretty much all there is to it. Always plan ahead, remember about having reserves and never make uneducated moves. Always assess the situation, plan accordingly and execute.
