Also the display does not move to the location of the targeted hexes so the only way you know if someone is hit is if you read the display in the bottom right. You cannot see the effects on the map.
I'd like to see this too.

Adding OBA called in on empty hexes would change the balance greatly and thus is not easily done. It's not just a feature to add as it needs a lot of work regarding the AI usage. Let it stay on the Feature Request List for now and let's see what Peter can do later on when he turns his attention to future development.

Double OBA - with a new feature!

Post by UP844 »

The Double OBA bug occurred again, including a new feature too [:(].

In the Canadian (English) Defensive Fire segment of turn 6 I attempted calling an OBA module on [15,9] (indicated by the magenta arrow). Since this was the first attempt, and the target is inside a stone building, I selected the 80mm module. I obtained contact, but I failed battery access. The "SW RADIO" line indicated <OBA: 80mm - Available>
In the Fire segment of turn 7, I attempted again and I had both contact an battery access, but... this is the sequence of lines appearing in the lower right box:
Source HEX: [ 21, 17 ] >>> FIRE VS >>> Target HEX: [ 14, 11 ]

[GB] SW: RADIO ID#: 6

[GB] SW: RADIO ID#: 6 was associated with OBA: 70mm MTR

[GB] SW: RADIO ID#: 6 Radio contact with OBA: 70mm MTR was successful

OBA: 70mm MTR Battery Access was successful

OBA: 70mm MTR will Target HEX [ 14, 8 ]

OBA: 70mm MTR Battery Access was successful

OBA: 70mm MTR will Target HEX [ 14, 10 ]

Apparently, I now have two 70mm MTR OBA modules [&:]. In the subsequent Defensive Fire, both hexes were attacked, and the following lines appeared in the lower right box:
===> Processing Off Board Artillery Attack in HEX: [ 14, 8 ]

===> Processing Off Board Artillery Attack in HEX: [ 15, 8 ]

===> Processing Off Board Artillery Attack in HEX: [ 14, 7 ]

===> Processing Off Board Artillery Attack in HEX: [ 13, 7 ]

===> Processing Off Board Artillery Attack in HEX: [ 13, 8 ]

===> Processing Off Board Artillery Attack in HEX: [ 13, 9 ]

===> Processing Off Board Artillery Attack in HEX: [ 14, 9 ]

===> Processing Off Board Artillery Attack in HEX: [ 14, 10 ]

===> Processing Off Board Artillery Attack in HEX: [ 15, 10 ]

===> Processing Off Board Artillery Attack in HEX: [ 14, 9 ]

===> Processing Off Board Artillery Attack in HEX: [ 13, 9 ]

===> Processing Off Board Artillery Attack in HEX: [ 13, 10 ]

===> Processing Off Board Artillery Attack in HEX: [ 13, 11 ]

===> Processing Off Board Artillery Attack in HEX: [ 14, 11 ]

During the attack on [14,8] and on the surrounding hexes, the mortar sound was played.
During the attack on [14,10] and on the surrounding hexes, the artillery sound was played.

Here is an attached saved game. It has been saved at the very start of the Fire Segment, so it will be necessary to skip until the subsequent English Defensive Fire to see the double OBA falling.
