Probable bug: fire through a hill

On the last turns of a Hill 621 game, I had taken all the VP hexes but, lacking armor support nearby except SU-122s, I decided to set up a reverse slope defense.
I moved a squad from a Level 3 hex to a Level 2 hex, a SPW 251 at ground level and on the opposite side of the hill fired on the squad (and pinned it) through the Level 3 hex, which should have blocked the fire. The LOS was as follows:
Lv0 (SPW251) -> Lv1 -> Lv3 -> Lv2 (Russian squad).
On the next turn, the game stopped during the German MPh and an Engineer squad on a Level 2 hex appeared as a legitimate target for a squad of mine, which was on a Level 1 hex. The LOS was as follows:
Lv1 (Russian squad) -> Lv3 -> Lv2 (German squad).
A nearby Russian squad on a Level 2 hex had its LOS blocked by the Level 3 hex: perhaps the game has some trouble while computing LOS when one of the end hexes is lower than the other [&:].
In the attached file there are the screenshots of the two situations described above (I am not allowed to add pictures to my post)
