new patch error loading ftp file

The updater says there's a new version, like v1.1027 update3, but errors trying to load an ftp file.

I'm not complaining, it will just be twelve hours or so before I can check again. Just reporting.

Just for Also Reporting I Can Download it without any trouble but can't install it until my avast was disabled

Now it's ok i reenable Avast and i can play without any problems

try a different browser, just tested with chrome in windows 10, not edge and it works fine

Thanks for the reply! I have tried Firefox, Chrome and IE. I get the same message for each. May I download the patch myself? Or do I need to use the installer? IIRC, we were supposed to have the download option, as well as the installer option.

I did not have links, emails, or phone numbers in the post. What regular expression or expressions is making this determination?

Anyway, I was trying to express my frustration with the TrueUpdate Client that almost never seems to work. (It sometimes does but most often it does not) It isn't just with Tigers on the Hunt but with CMNAO, WITW, Decisive Campaigns: Barbarossa, etc. I just tried to update both Tigers on the Hunt and CMNAO today and both failed with "Error: unable to download the file. Failed to create the internet connection.".

I end up ftp'ing patches by hand and applying them. I don't understand why the client can exchange enough information to determine that a newer client is needed, download that client and start it, then determine that a game patch is needed and the file name of that patch, but then can't actually download the patch to apply it.

I don't have problems updating non-matrix games on Steam on either my Macs or PCs.

I'm grateful for the patch. I just don't seem to get added value from the "updater" that comes with my matrix games.

TrueUpdate Client is allowed by windows firewalls rules.

Do you have any idea what might cause this problem?

What should I look at on my end?

I got the patch. I found that I had to turn off my firewall.

Thanks for the tip. I did try turning off my Windows firewall with no success. I don't want to turn off my boundary firewall, however.

Can someone comment on the data exchange used so that I can create a rule to allow the data flow if that is actually what is causing the problem?

I can directly FTP the files with no issues so I assume that protocol isn't being used.
