RE: NYGiants in Hospital
Did an Echo this morning which is a ultra-sound of heart. The doctor from the hospital told me I was going home tomorrow morning. Both Cardio docs came in at 5pm "ish" and sent my home. Just got in and will take shower before relaxing. Hope to get a solid nights sleep with out all the monitoring going on. Going to take some FMLA time off over the next few weeks, but am not going to push self back to work.

I don't know how you can relax after a shower. I always feel creepy for a long time until I acquire a patina of ecological residue. Perhaps I could bear it if I had three stents. Most of the people I know are happy if they have one (or even two, though few have achieved that level of Tao). I will be observing you with jealous eyes.

I think the forums apprechiate your casual approach to return to work. You got a few WitP turns to catch up. Can´t do both. WitP or work. Important stuff first.
Good to hear you are fine! [:)]

Thanks for all the words of encouragement guys. [&o]
They say you don't rest in a hospital bed. That's true as I got over 10 hours sleep with a just a couple awakening last night at home. Feel more rested. One thing is that I'm now borderline or pre-diabetic. Thus, after a trip to pick up new prescriptions its off to local grocery store for foods without sugar. Then, I may try to do a turn for one of two games - Olorin (March 44) as the Allied juggernaut continues to roll up the coast on both sides of New Guinea and from a recently captured Rangoon (Moulmien is already under siege). This is DBB 30. The other is vs Big Bad Wolf playing RA and its late May 42. The Allies have recovered from the initial Japanese expansions and plans are afoot.
Thanks!![:)]

Being pre-diabetic myself, I found a lot of benefit talking to a nutritionist to get a feel for what to avoid and what works well. If you have a smartphone/tablet of some kind, another useful thing for me was a nutrition app that tracks carbs (the real culprit more than just sugar). Keeping track of all the things you eat for a month or two is illuminating on what the worst offenders are. Feel free to PM me if you want more details.

Here is to a speedy recovery...a low carb diet can help with the borderline diabetes problem. But then again, it might not for you. Free advice worth exactly what it cost you. [:D]

Damn, I leave for a few days and you get yourself into hospital. AE cold turkey is no joke, kids [:D]
So, if you had enough of those sponge baths, we need to get along with our program, it's no fun if I ruin the Japanese empire by myself.

Good to hear you're home, dude. You were smart to get "it" checked out and you will be wise to follow the long-term support identified for you. Good you found this before the damage was irreversible. May you live a long and healthy life.

Yeah, good to see you back home. I am pre-diabetic myself. It is pretty easy to slack off and get complacent about the diet. Beer was a big problem for me as I like to have one with my evening meal. Now I just allow myself the occasional one when we eat out and do not keep it in my home...Sob. Chocolate is another issue but we won't go there..
