Kamikaze Bellum Pacifica Map

Post by PrinceBolkonsky »

Could someone send me, or post a link, to the file for the Kamikaze Bellum Pacifica Map. The current one is not working. I finally bought the game and got my switches right. This is the last step before I start playing. Thanks!

Sorry no one has responded. Are you referring to a map that shows the area the Allies must occupy a base within to trigger the kamikaze rule? I think I saw one once that was inaccurate and may have been before changes were made to that rule.

No, he's talking about this thread: https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/view ... &start=120

And yes, it looks like the links have vanished, one more "feature" of this atrocious forum conversion.

Personally I like (and use) the "Bellum Pacifica" map created by the same author. Evoken has posted links for that half-way down on page 7 of this thread:

Again, can't cite a post number or even link directly to it.

I’ve been holding off on my comments until hopefully Matrix makes fixes to some of this.

They changed the format on saving down individual posts.
That may have been by accident, I don’t know.

The new format does not make a lot of sense to me but it can work.

You can still save down individual posts by clicking on the post title.
That converts it into a weird looking link and it now works sometimes and sometimes not.
But it seems that Matrix is on the path to making it work.

They may be doing it individual post to post.

Take a look at my post on Abbreviations.

Scroll down on my post and look at the individual links.

Also, the attachment to this post has been doubled.

Kull is correct, it is not well thought out.

To Follow up on this…..

If you are in a Thread and want to mark an individual post you need to click
on the post title, it will change the color to black and throw the link into
your browser bar where you can copy it.

I use Firefox as my browser:

For the old links maybe Matrix can design a program which converts:

+1 As usual, he nails it. Good to know that there's a way to do this. If only the process of embedding links in text could be automated as it was in the old software.

Which links have vanished exactly?

Thanks Trugrit.

Can I please ask anyone with feedback, tips, suggestions and issues with the new forum to NOT post them in random threads in the AE sub-forum, but instead to post them in the pinned global announcement threads (visible from every sub-forum at the top of your page) regarding the new forum? Keeping all the feedback there will be a tremendous help to me in making sure we are aware of all the remaining issues with the conversion.

Regards,

- Erik

Erik,

I don’t think that any links have actually vanished.
Of course I’ve not gone through all the forum links.

I think that it just looks like some links have vanished because
sometimes when a user clicks on a link which he thinks is an
individual post the link takes them to the topic instead.

When that happens it just looks like the individual post has vanished
but it is really located somewhere down in the topic.

Maybe that has been fixed by now, I’ve not looked at that lately.
