Allied turn of June 21th 1940 (Start)

German Panzer broke through the front between Lille and the Maginot Line pushing just East of the Somme. Only four enemy armored or mechanized units have been detected for now. Both the British and French 1st armies decide to mount an offensive against the spearhead mechanized Corps (XVI motorised).

Allied turn of June 21th 1940 (End)

After the success of the assault dispersing the enemy, it was decided to push the assault and the French 2nd Army joined the offensive with the British on the 1st SS Panzer which was also dispersed. Both units are now out of the picture for the foreseeable future and would have to be reconstituted in Germany. With only two mobile units possibly left, Germany will have a hard time pushing toward Paris. Losses in the air are mounting however and Germany is dominating the skies.

Congratulations, Axis is doomed.

I am under the impression that Germany only had four mech/armors on map. If so, I believe that this is not viable in France as it forces you to go in a very narrow corridor which means a deadly combinaison: No retreat paths + possibility to be attacked from 3 (maybe 4) hexes...

Check your June 7 map. Looks like they had 4 Armor and 1 Mech. That is about the best they can do for Armor that can be built in time. The low number of Mech I guess means they put production somewhere else (Air and/or Subs).

Yes! Five indeed then! Still, I do not believe it is wise to try with less than 6. I did notice that he built at three air units. So this probably explain that as you say...

Well as you may have guessed, we decided to stop since there was little chance for Germany to win the game in the long run. Even in France, it would have not been a forgone conclusion with only 3 German armors left. Sorry for the second false start![:(]
