Allied turn of January 16th, 1942
In the Atlantic, the result of the last two week is almost the same, to the ship, of the previous two weeks. Those loses can not be sustained like that every month!
In the Mediterranean theater, all the Axis troops retreated to the Libyan border much to the 2nd ANZAC surprise! Only the Italians marines remained trapped and were rounded up and forced to surrender. At sea, the British 20th Submarine group is believed lost.

Local attacks in the Soviet Union. The only notable result is that the II Panzer Corps was shattered and will have to be reconstituted far away from the front. Soviet front-line troops are still amateur at war making when compared to the Germans, but the gap is closing, a first corps, a tank one, was even awarded the title of Guard!
In other news, General Auchinlek took command in Norway where the front is now in a stalemate.

Allied turn of January 30th, 1942
The last two weeks were very calm overall, but some limited sectors saw action. In the East, Germany conducted massive air raids all over the front to harass Soviet troops and even mounted an offensive with good success East of Kursk, destroying an army and forcing a redeployment of Soviet troops further East. Stavka, is nonetheless pleased to announce that a second tank corps was awarded the Guard status.
In the Mediterranean, the Americans arrived in Egypt. They arrived at about the time the Allies were expecting a fight for Alexandria, but since the Axis troops retreated instead to Libya, their arrival was rather anticlimactic.
At sea what were believed to be the last two Italian submarine flotillas were destroyed near Malta and near Alexandria respectively by the RAF.
In Norway a daring plan was refused by the War Office. A revised plan was resubmited by a disgruntled Auchinlek.

Allied turn of February 14th, 1942
A quiet couple of weeks everywhere with very little action. The only thing worth nothing in the East is that the Germans seems to be closing in on Voronezh. Although this could also be a feint to move further East before moving South to try to trap the Soviet troops around Kharkov and Stalino. Stavka ordered a redeployment behind better defensive positions such as the Donets. Some fresh reinforcements are also expected soon to reinforce the Voronezh sector.
In Norway, around Bergen, the Axis attacked the 15th British Division for a few days in a row. The division held its position and inflicted serious loses on the Romanian and German attackers.

Allied turn of February 28th, 1942
Germany kept attacking East of Bergan and even pushed the 15th Division. However, it seems that Norway is either slowly been evacuated by the Axis or that the forces there will be kept to a minimum. The panzer corps seem to have already left.
Nonetheless, the Allies decided to attempt a landing at Stavanger and a combined US-UK force took the port and forced the Italians to retreat. Many Italian planes were abandoned at the airbase while some others escaped in dispersed order. The Allies are hoping to trap as many Axis forces as possible before they can reach Bergen to evacuate.

In the East, German troops were slowly infiltrating Soviet lines South of Stalino. Stavka simply did not have the necessary troops to close the gaps. Also, the German Panzer to the North near Voronezh were also making Stavka very nervous. So, it reluctantly ordered a general retreat in the area leaving both Stalino and Kharkov to the enemy.

Allied turn of March 14th, 1942
In the Soviet Union, the surprisingly good weather had melted most snow but remained cold enough to keep all muddy roads frozen enough to make them usable again. Voronezh was therefore taken before any serious defenses could be deployed in time. Quite a few Axis mobiles corps, eleven in total, maybe twelve, now have many options such as continuing East (although improbable), going North to take Moscow in a pincer move, or, the scenario most probable according to Stavka, going South for Stalingrad and, more important, trying to trap the whole Transcaucasus front trying desperately to regroup.

In Norway, two German corps were destroyed in combat. The only Axis troops left in Norway are an Italian corps, the Norwegian resistance corps and, in Bergen, a Romanian division. The Romanians are expected to evacuate soon as the other troops have basically no chances to reach Bergen before been dealt with by the British troops.

To the Allies’ surprise, the Romanian division never left Bergen. Maybe with the bad weather preventing effective assaults, the Axis still had hopes to evacuate the Italians trying to reach the port? Nonetheless, Auchinlek ordered the two divisions besieging the port to attack the Romanians and, after a few days, British technology, experience, and maybe even better supply due to the massive blockade by the Royal Navy and the Free French Navy, managed to force the Romanians out. The Americans will be left in charge of mopping-up the remaining Axis forces in Norway. Auchinlek has been heard saying that “theses poor lads need combat experience!”
In other news, in the Mediterranean, an Italian submarine flotilla has been spotted. The Admiralty was convinced that there were not enough left of them left to form even a partial flotilla. Either the monitoring was faulty, or the Italians build some submarines.

In the East, with the Winter making a small comeback and slowing Axis tanks, it is still not 100% clear what the next German moves will be. But Stalingrad and Saratov seem to be very plausible targets! Yet, the North option toward the Oka River is still very much a possibility.
