The Italians invade near El Alamein.

Libya before my moves (I forgot to take one after my moves).
Surprisingly the US didn't move anything.

The crucial battle. I must admit that my Afrika Corps just don't seem to be able to do anything wrong. Though if this attack didn't work I am pretty confident that I would have gotten him anyway.

Why the RN is not intervening in the Eastern Med.

That army in Africa is in trouble...to many units moved off the coast. Now they will be cut and mostlikey all will surrender crippling the UK for the next two years.
Most of my oppenents have the bulk of the Allied fleet here like you do...VERY different games.

The RAF bombs the Italian Fleet with little success. I suspect this is because his air units have low effectiveness or strength. Note the Italian Fleet was in the hex under attack, but I moved it back to Taranto before I thought to take these screenshots.

And this is why the Italian Fleet ran away.

Another tough decision: Do I strike towards Alexandria, or do I destroy the British HQ? I believe that the 4 units between my panzers and Alexandria are all weak divisions. But my armour is nearing exhaustion, so I attack the HQ (after first ensuring it cannot retreat).

Nothing of note in Russia.
In Libya I destroy another UK Corps. I believe I will retreat back North to better supply and trust the desert to finish off the remainders.

2 British Mechanized Corps assault and capture Oran pushing it's Italian defender South. The Axis rush reinforcements to Algiers.
The British Units SW of the Quattra Depression begin their long journey home. The Axis units that were harassing them move back North to the coast highway.
No screenshots due to the Forum's technical issues.

Nice AAR. That's some exceptionnaly poor Allied decision making in the desert. And the Allied fleet could have made all the difference intercepting supply.

Egypt.
It will be interesting to see how many, if any, of those 5 British units disintegrate due to lack of supply.

FORCES AND CASAULTIES
Despite losing more units, Hadros has a 20% larger German force size in our mirror game. Part of that can be explained by the fact that I have built up the German air force and he has not. But he also built far more U-Boats and has spent far more production repairing them. I used to think I was never able to build up as large a German army as other players because I built lots of supply trucks. But in this game I have built far fewer than I have before. So I really don't know what the answer is.
British Force size is rather low. But they have over 100 more MS than what my British have in our mirror game.

German Production Capacity and manpower are looking good. Oil may be a concern.

Tech Advances.
Except for Italian close support (Big Whoop) no techs are ahead of schedule and a few are well behind. The big disappointment is German Heavy Armour, which from 1939 to late 1940 made rapid progress, but since then has advanced at a snails pace.

The Fickleness of Tech Advances. In April 1940 my Heavy Armour Tech was 65 Days ahead of my Assault Tech. A year later it was still 54 Days ahead. But in the 10 months between April 41 and February 42 my Assault tech has advanced by 115 days more than my Heavy Armour Tech.
