Is there an AI?

This game is on a great sale right now and I am considering it - but is there an AI? The game page says it "does not include an AI player in the initial release" but it looks like there's been an update that added it?

Much theoretical work has been done by WiF experts on the AI.

So far only a very rudimentary Soviet AI for the Barbarossa scenario has been implemented but improvements are planned and the AI is basically the priority at the moment, which is not universally popular.

The game is very suitable to play solitaire or you can play against people online while you wait for more AI developments.

Given that it's so cheap at the moment, that'd be my suggestion.

They are developing it.

However, considering that the game without an AI took over 10 years (Couldnt tell exactly how many more) and still has a bunch of nasty bugs, and the extreme complexity of playing this game and it's many optionals re creating an AI to deal with them, I wouldnt bet it will be in the near future to say it softly.

It's true that the game has way too many bugs, it's a shame.
