Pools Form Revision

Post by Shannon V. OKeets »

I have revised the Pools form so it can show slightly more units in the primary box.

By shifting things around the table of units is now 6 by 9, showing 54. Previously, it was 4 by 13, showing 12.

The main advantage of this change is when you expand/resize the form horizontally. Every additional column of width shows 6 more units instead of 4.

The starting with is 1024, but you can resize it to as wide as your widest monitor.

Here are some examples of the new layout, starting with the Axis reinforcements for July/August 1942 (from my current game with Gerry).

Note that I have reduced these screenshots to 50% so they do not appear as gigantic in this forum.

Here are the Allied reinforcements.

The image is fuzzy because of the 50% reduction in image size.

Here is an example of the Pools form with the width resized to show all the units in Reserve.

And here is the last (4th) in this series, the units in the Commonwealth Force Pool.

===

The controls on the side of the Pools form let you look at different Pools. Selecting the Reserve Pool, shows the available Pilots and Offensive chits for each major power.

Selecting the Force Pool, displays a list of countries and once you have clicked on a specific country, the Gearing Limits for that country for the next turn are shown, in addition to the units in Force Pool available this year. The check boxes let you switch to viewing the units for the next year and all future years.

I just made another addition to the Pools Form.

This time it is for the Destroyed Pool. Another small table appears showing convoy and pilot losses for the turn.

In the example below, none of either unit type has been lost. [That's because the saved game I used was from earlier before I added the code to count those losses.]
