Edition Purchase Confusion

I went to buy MWiF and I saw in the shopping cart: 'Upgrade to Boxed + digital edition' $15.00

What does one get when you purchase the base? What does one get for the extra $15?

Thanks

I may be wrong, but as I understand it, you normally get the download version (only.)

For the additional $15 you get the boxed version in addition. (Probably have to pay for mail extra.)

Well that would make sense. But the store page says the it's the this edition comes with a full color printed hardback book as the manual. Which is what caused my confusion. Now as long as I get electronic version of the documents I don't need the boxed version.

Thanks.

Hi,

For $15 I would upgrade to the boxed set. I ordered it because I wanted a printed manual but I wasn't expecting much. When it arrived I was stunned. You get 3 large high quality manuals - manuals 1 and 2 plus a separate 'Rules as coded' book. They are the best manuals I have ever seen for a computer game and well worth the extra cash.

I posted my reaction after receiving them on this forum. The post and responses are still there on page 2. Title of the post is simply 'WOW'. Quick link here - https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=4885965

Though working with the hard copy is not mandatory, it really helps in learning how things work. If you really do not want it, you can save that additional cost and the cost of shipping. However, it is not possible to purchase separately and the price will go back up to normal in a few more weeks.

Your call.

Dave

Be aware that if you buy the boxed edition, you'll be charged another $32 for shipping (for a total of $67), at least to the USA. I was all set to purchase until I saw that.

Even considering the bulk of the manuals that seems a bit much these days.

The manuals are superb. They are hard backs and weigh a lot. The extra cost for the boxed set and additional shipping price is worth it IMO.

The books are definitely something you can sink your teeth into. Well, literally for my two bichons (Susie & Cally). Wished they'd had been less literal though. [:D]
