AAR War of the Roses

Conquest! Medieval Realms, developed by Illustrious Software, is a turn-based game that combines the pure strategic gameplay of Chess and the key principles of military strategy in a historical setting. The objective is to conquer up to 7 opposing AI or human players by defeating their armies and capturing their lands. To gain supremacy, players will need to unite their spread out lands, build a roaring economy, and raise powerful armies to divide and conquer their enemies. Boost your income via markets and mines, upgrade your armies with stables and archery fields, or amass a large force, but sound strategy and careful thought will help you more than brute force.

AAR War of the Roses

Post by Andrew Loveridge »

Quick note from Erik: Please see further down for an explanation of how the game works!

As the new guy, it has been "requested" of me to write an After Action Report.
We start with the first scenario in the War of the Roses, Lancastrians. It seems straight forward. Capture Ludford Bridge and secure the other side. And if you don't fiddle around it is. This I've have learned this after a few awkward tries...

But here is the set up.

The quickest way to go is join your territories and then take out the knight.

The next Scenario is a bit more challenging. Wakefield, or Sandal Castle needs to be taken as quickly as possible. The enemy is surrounded, but you need to get in before time is up.

After a couple more turns, pushing with my best men I had better control of this area.

I have some recurring problems with an Arquebusier that I need a knight to handle.
