Before I start a full campaign with some buddies I thought I could get some recommendations on books that covered this period?

Any recommendations gents?

Do not know if it is translated in English but I would recommend:

L'art militaire de Napoléon - by Jacques Garnier
Guerre de Russie 1812 - by Baron Dufour

Any others gents in your library you recommend?

Swords Around a Throne by Elting is great.
The classic is Napoleons Campaigns by Chandler, an eye watering $65 on kindle.
You may be able to pick up a hard cover on Amazon or ABE cheaper.

The Trafalgar Companion (Adkin)
The Napoleonic Source Book (Haythornthwaite)*
Waterloo (Howarth)
Napoleon The Final Verdict (Various)
The Peninisular War (Esdaile)*
La Grande Armee (Blond)*

* Must buys imo.

The Fall of Toulon is good

Also 'Napoleon's Shield & Guardian'

Another is 'Nelson's Purse'

A fun historical fiction series with lots of real history in it is the Sharpe series by Bernard Cornwell

Rifles by Mark Urban is very good

Written by someone who was there is 'Adventures with the Connaught Ranger'

'Marching with Wellington' is also good.
