White screen and choppy music when starting game

After my hard drive crashed I had to reinstall FOF. I have the latest patch, but when I start the game I get a white screen and the music is choppy. Obviously there is a problem with the video that is played at the start. Is there something that I need to install, or is there a way to bypass the video?

Try installing the newest versions of Flash and Shockwave.  Here are a few threads that are pertinent to these:

I have the latest adobe player, but I still have the same problem. This game ran fantastic on this exact same computer, I just had to reinstall the game after getting a new hard drive installed after the previous one crashed. I believe that I had the same problem earlier, but I was easily able to fix it. However, that was over 2 years ago, and I have no idea what I did. Anyways, I included a dxdiag file, hopefully it will help.

I'm still looking for help here. Anyone have a clue as to what I can do?

You should be able to bypass the video by adding

NOFLASH= 1

to the ForgeOfFreedom.ini file.  As you are running in Vista you may need to run Forge of Freedom in administrator mode in order to allow the game to read the .ini file.

Is the game otherwise working after it gets past the main screen?
