Copying the game

Post by Roger Neilson II »

I am an extensive player of WITP and have one 'vanilla' WITP on my computer then other ones with various mods as separate games - in some cases on another hard disc. This works fine and all I have to do is copy the 'vanilla' game to a new directory and then install whatever mod work is needed . It also means I always have one 'untouched' original to go back to.

Can i do the same with FOF - that is simply copy it in its entirety into a new directory and apply a mod to that or does it have complex registry issues that means it needs a new install each time?

I have 2 copies on my hard drive. However be aware, you seem to have to manually change the location of the save game location when you change from install to install.
Favoritism is alive and well here.

Yes, that's standard with other matrix games I have.

Just remember there is only 1 "ForgeOfFreedom.ini" located in the /Windows/ folder. Be sure to check your settings when switching between different copies
You've GOT to hold them back!
