.hst files

Post by admgrraven »

When trying to rename the pbem save file I accidentally clicked to open with internet explorer. Now the .hst file shows the ie icon and no one else can use the file. How do I get the file back to it's original form?

rename the old file back and in proprieties open with another file type, which will deselect from IE

OK,

So I did that and now it opens with wordpad. Will that be ok for pbem? Can I send that save to my opponent and he be able to use it assuming he has wordpad?

.hst will be fine for him as he hasn't altered the file extension so will open as normal on his pc, hopefully unless it has lost the data in the file modification, only way to know is try if it doesn't work back up game files and uninstall and reinstall then the program will re do the file associations for you
