Well we continue to be pushed back. I ordered the cav unit to try to reenter the previous territory maybe i can slow them down more. I don't think i will have enough to hold him. He's losing more troops then me but i can't stop his push but maybe i can wear down his units. I have landed on marcus and I have sent for the Ninth HQ to marcus. I think from marcus i'll hold a bit and try to build up some defenses. Then i will try for iwo jima. That will give me 100 points and hopefully turn his gaze away from Russia. Or should i wait?

I've gotten a UK carrier that was hit by a japanese sub so the Commonwealth is hoping going to be able to parlay that into war. I would post more details but i dont think anyone is reading. I have russian units at imam in a level 9 fort in the mountains while japan is cutting russia off by taking out mancuria. Very sad..

Today while the HMS Argus was on a training cruise 300 miles east of the neutral port of shanghai she was hit by a Japanese torpedo.
Within hours the prime minister has said that orders to recall diplomats from japan has been sent out. Orders for the Royal Navy have been given to sink any Japanese submarines on sight.
The prime minister has said that he thinks the attack on the carrier was a blatant retaliation for the Commonwealths stance of passive support for the United States & Russia. Some in the British media have speculated that the prime minister put the fleet into a provocative position in order to be able to openly join the war on the side of the united states. The prime minister responded by saying the HMS Argus was more then 100 miles west of the Japanese territorial waters and that any attacks on British ships in international waters was a aggressive act.

We are regretful that one of your carriers were hit by one of our subs. As you know Chinese ships have been raiding our waters. We suggest that you stay clear from Shanghai and Japanese waters to prevent future mistakes. We shall honour our friendship of neutrality although we dislike your stance in supporting the US, we acknowledge your power and wealth.

I'm in a bit of a pickle here though. I had a logistics problem i forgot you use alot more fuel in WPO then WITP. So pearl is at 0 fuel and i have 8 bb's steaming back to pearl at 1 hex a turn. And there are several Japanese BB's & bc around. Do ships fight worse with 0 fuel? If so the cream of my fleet may soon be swallowed up by a few lucky bb rounds. If i make it through this crisis i vow to be much more through.

On the russian front IMam is encircled almost. I only have a few more turns to decide if i will run. 13 japanese units just came into imam with me. I said to attack if my guys can't take them out with this one attakc next turn i'll head out ot the west and try to get into china to at least bolster a defense there and deny him the points for killing my army.

There's at least two of us reading this. Both from Canada! It's interesting to read about the mainland war in China - how accurately do you feel the game models that kind of land war? I must admit that I mostly read your news highlights and look at any maps posted. I don't follow the detailed combat reports too closely.

Press Release from UK Prime Minister

Based on the attack on the argus and following submarine attacks in international waters. I have authorized an increase in support to the United States from 1 Division of ground troops to 3 divisions within the next 12 -24 Months. These forces will be under the operational and strategic command of the United States Central Pacific HeadQuarters. This arsenal of democracy can hopefully bring a quick resolution to the growing conflict. This conflict began with the United States versus Japan but has quickly spread to include china and now Russia. By taking action now we can help prevent bombs from falling in the streets of London,Liverpool, and Hong Kong. When we look at the aggression of Japan we can not turn a blind eye to the countries she has gobbled up in her power grab. I will use every ounce of political support (political points) to make sure these troops are mobilized quickly to help defend our allies. While the Japanese armies are focused on destroying Russia we have time to act. With the united states and Russia out of the way there is nothing to stand in the way of Japan from taking Hong Kong, Karachi and Singapore. As i speak the main Russian army has been encircled in mountain enclave called Imam. The 100,000 strong army has been reduced to half its size and is on the verge of starvation. These brave warriors are the only thing standing in the way of a million Japanese soldiers marching from Peking to Hong Kong. The time has come to act my fellow citizens and i hope you will offer me your support. This conflict has been raging for a year now let us end it now.

Estimates were that 400,000 tons of supplies and 240,000 tons of coal were off loaded into the main shanghai port today. Officials at the united states embassy say these supplies are to help china carry out its war effort against the Japanese. Shanghai is the largest port of call in mainland china and even so the officials say unloading will take 4-5 days to complete. In other local news the British main fleet of 6 BB's and 5 BC's has pulled into shanghai in order to offer escort to the large convoy since the United States Navy is already thinly stretched. Officials commented that this amount of supplies will keep ground troops fighting for at least another year and that the fuel should last approximately 6 months. When asked about the route the convoy commander used to bypass Japanese blockades the command replied "It was a long voyage that took us the better part of a month and a half to make with alot of precise maneuvering."

Wow it's so rare i decided to post it. She plugged this DD with 3 torps one after another and the jap ship sunk like a rock. She only took 3 points of hull damage though i'm going to pull her back to base for refit. She got alot of valuable experience. The best part is i'm inside the japanese islands doing this.

The UK guarantees Chinas freedom in return for basing rights throughout their lands.

Press Release -
The United Kingdom today issued a press release giving more details about the guarantee of freedom for china. We have placed troops in strategic Chinese cities and we will use all ground forces at our disposal to fight off the Japanese in every sector. After the attack on the argus and the loss of 5 UK Destroyers the parliament and public do not support the Royal Navy being involved. So in the event of hostilities the Royal Navy will be rebased to either Hong Kong, Singapore or India. If war is to come this will be a ground war. The United States has stated it will also send its navy to the aid of China in the event of an attack. We feel that the US Navy is more then a match for the Japanese. So we will use the Royal Navy as a weapon to keep the japanese out of our sphere of influence and protecting convoys in the India to Hong Kong routes. Though we will keep our ships out of any contested waterways.

Seems like an amazing feat - well done. What kind of an escort did you have for this TF? On a related note, do you add DDs right into Transport TFs when you create them or do you have Escort TFs shadow your Transport TFs?

It's a ploy and a bluff i sent to billy to throw him off the trail. I was trying to get him to send his naval units into shanghai i have almost 15,000 mines in the harbor and i wanted to see some explosions. I have really been supplying shanghai and hong kong from karachia have 500,000 supplies in each city and 500,000 fuel in each city as well. I have another austrialian division heading towards marcus now. In another month i'll have another austrilian division moving to marcus to get the island built up. From there i will strike into the next closest islands in japan and cpature them bypassing wake completely.
