Newer version of March 13 patch released

Achtung Panzer:Operation Star is an Eastern Front wargame with solid graphics and sprawling battlefields that really emphasize the scope of WWII tank combat. The gameplay is a remarkably realistic turn-based and real-time operational/tactical hybrid wargame that continues the series begun by the acclaimed Achtung Panzer: Kharkov 1943.

From Graviteam forum-

"The version numbers i.e. 2138 vs 2167 are updated via the Core Update .. i.e. http://www.graviteam.com/AP-STAR/gtos_cu_581_eng.exe

I had version 2138, .. and I have just re-downloaded the file mentioned above (see link). Ran it .. and now I'm also on 2167. Smiley

So, it must have been updated at some point, .. although there is no indication that it has been. Huh

I have no idea what's changed in version 2167, .. versus 2138, .. aside from the fact that bigger is better .. "

So it now seems you need to download not only the new updated patch but the new updated engine as well to get to build number (2167).

WOW!

I don't know whether I should be upset at this patching process and lack of clear instruction as to what, when and how, or pleased that Graviteam is taking the effort to fix the game and address issues as soon as they are brought up.

Like I said before I'll wait till the dust settles before I bring my game current.
Most of these updates seem to concern minor annoyances and not anything that really effects play to any degree that would be considered game breaking.

OK,
Thanks Budd.

Wonder if this is the last version of the March updates!
I still have to update my patch also seeing as I'm still at(1980),but I'll see how far the engine update takes me up the build ladder first before I update the patch.

Or I'll just wait and do everything in one sweep as soon as the new DLC is released.
I'm still in the middle of a Hooper campaign, but lately since its been so hot here in Florida I've put my Angola campaign on hold and have been playing a bunch of quick battles in Taranovka so I could look at some snow.[:D]

Well,what ya know!

Didn't have to update the patch after downloading and updating the new engine,I'm reading the same thing you are Budd(2167).Thought since I still had (1980) I was going to have to do some more patch updating. That's a relief.[8D]

Still having an issue with the 5th squad in my SAR mech.platoons-for some reason the APC gets stuck in a loop and will drive around in little circles until I issue the squad new commands and snap the driver out of this insane circular and odd behavior.

Was hoping this update would have fixed that,it's not a major issue but it is annoying!Brought this issue up on the Graviteam forum about a week ago,so maybe Andrey didn't have enough time to identify the problem and fix it time before this latest update.

I'll probably have to bring this issue up again just to make sure He didn't forget and it can be addressed in the next patch.
