Which side best against AI?

Hello,

Given the XMAS sale, I'll probably dip my toes into the DBWW2 series (probably starting with BiN first). However, I tend to be a completionist, so I may have to succumb to KP as well in my weakness.

That being said, I play sp against AI; PBEM isn't really in the plans currently. I've heard that the AI in KP may not be that aggressive. I'm a relative beginner when it comes to wargaming, but I'm still quite interested in a challenge; I'd rather it be too difficult than too easy. With that being said, which side would be more appropriate for me? I seem to be getting mixed reports.

As for AtD, the impression is that the German side is more difficult, so I'll be playing as them there.

Thanks.

I own and enjoy playing all the games in this series.

The AI is extremely aggressive. Sometimes overly to it's own detriment.

The worst draw back of the AIs performance is it's tendency to go all out to kill an available "killable" unit, leaving itself out of position as a result.
Never leave a two step unit stacked alone where the AI can get at it as the AI will go all out to kill it. As a gamey technique, the AI can be baited into leaving itself exposed and out of position by placing a two step unit in the location you want to bait the AI into. I try to avoid exploiting the AI this way as it tends to spoil the fun of playing.

That being said, like most AIs, it defends better than it attacks, so I tend to play the attacking side in most games. However, in the scenarios where the AI has overwhelming superiority, like KP and the new Kharkov scenario for BIII, it is much more viable as an attacker.

In case you didn't know there are a multidude of player created scenarios as add ons to all the games in this series on the SSG site.

I also highly recommend the Across the Dnepr add on scenario for KP available here from Matrix.
