AT and FLAK Guns

Gentlemen,

I am wondering how AT guns and the larger 88mm FlaK guns are handled in PCO. Are they only initially placed in a scenario, maybe manhandled for a short distance, or can they be loaded, moved via transport and then unloaded where needed?

Are they harder to spot than in CM? My AT guns always seemed to be picked off quickly even when concealed well and with a HQ unit with stealth experience. Michael Wittmann once noted that he valued the destruction of AT guns higher than he did the killing of enemy tanks, because of the skill needed to spot, target, and finally destroy them.

And, particularly with respect to the 88mm guns, can they be moved, unloaded, and then re-loaded and moved again or is that beyond the time frame scope of the scenarios? Along with that question, can the 88mm FlaK be fired from their gun carriages and not fully unloaded?

They are initially placed and once placed cannot be moved. That's on our list of things to add for the next game in the series.

They are much harder to spot and kill in PCO than CM.

That works. I'm also looking forward to that list of things you hope to add in the next game in the series.

Here are some Screen Shots of an ATG that I've got in a scenario I'm playing right now. See how the gunners hold their hands over their ears when the gun fires?

Just more little things.......

Woods are turned off in this SS.

Good Hunting.

Here they are engaging a BT-7. The Pak 36 was only known as the Door Knocker vs the T-34. All other Soviet tanks were fair game.

Good Hunting.

That BT is buttoned and not facing the gun. There is a very good chance that it won't be able to find the gun before it dies. Remember with our relative spotting, it doesn't help if another unit can see the gun.
