Tank Riders and other Passengers

I always knew that PC troops mounted in halftracks could fire out and take fire in. Although the armour provides some protection, artillery strikes and enemy arms fire can suppress, cause casualties and pin the troops inside.
Today I ran a test with some German troops and Opel Trucks. I mounted up and moved out. Even though you can't see the troops in the fabric covered bed of the truck, they still have LOS out. Eventually I spotted an enemy squad and ordered my troops to fire. Tracers going out confirmed that troops can fire while passengers.
I had a battle recently with Soviet tanks and tankodesantniki squads. The mounted troops were able to spot an enemy tank before the tank commander did. While they cannot communicate with each other, I gave me the chance to change the situation.
