Command detonated mines

While these might be thought of as a 'modern' weapon system, it seems that they were used in WWII. I have come across quite a few instances where they are used and I would speculate that Engineers especially would field rig them. Here is one instance:
Company B was in continuous contact with the enemy for the next 34 days, fighting in the hedgerow country of Normandy, until finally on July 11, 1944 Lieutenant Harris would sustain the wound that put him out of the war for good. On nine occasions Fletcher Harris narrowly escaped near certain death situations—and he describes his survival as a miracle in each case. In one instance, while moving along a hedgerow on a patrol, the Germans activated a command detonated mine just as he came up next to it; but, it failed to go off. On several other occasions he had come under machine gun fire or intense small arms fire at close range, but, in each case, sometimes inexplicably, he escaped untouched.

To make a command detonated mine does not require cell phones. One just can screw off the fuze from an artillery shell, pack in some plastic explosive and run wires to a battery.

Before explosives the coyote had to pull a rope, removing the stick, allowing the boulder to roll down the hill at the road runner. But it always got the coyote in the end.

Hey, even I can add command detonating mines that don't go off.

Hey, how about a yoozer-doozer:
Now, that's a doodad!
To be included in the $17.99 "Lewis-Edition" of the game, it could be used to dig pits for hopelessly vulnerable StuG.III. In a world filled with, otherwise, non-deformable terrain, every self-caressing iteration of "himself" would undoubtedly consider it a must-buy.

German antitank mines could be used as a thrown weapon and even a remote detonated weapon.

Atta-boy, Lewis. Sneer for the camera. That expression is the only genuine thing about you.

The Sprengriegel 43 or “high-explosive bar mine” is used in open country, on roads, and in minefields. It consists of three main parts: a metal encased charge of TNT, a sheet steel tray, and a lid which acts as a pressure plate on the charge.
The charge is provided with five igniter sockets: two for the main igniters (Type Z. Z. 42) are located in the ends of the charge and are recessed so that only the ends of the igniters show when they are fitted and laid; the other three are for the new tilt igniter 43 (Ki. Z. 43) or other antilifting or trip-wire igniters. One of the latter three sockets is located in the top center of the charge; the other two are in one side five inches from the ends. By reversing one of the main igniters with its wings below the end pressure plate, it will function as an antilifting device. The mine may also be fired electrically by remote control.

The German shrapnel mine is an antipersonnel device which may be operated by direct pressure of about 15 pounds on a push igniter in the head, or by a pull on one or more trip-wires attached to pull-igniters. It may also be fired by electrical methods.

Any attack from things thrown or detonated from infantry under 25m goes under the heading of close assault tactic. A generic infantry attack that can damage or disable a tank. We didn't want to burden the player with selecting and deploying all sorts of special mines, grenades or bombs.
I read at Kursk the Soviets had remote controlled flamethrowers. At least the Germans thought they were.

Well, let me quote you:

Frankly, your artwork leaves me curious as to exactly what it is that offends you more, women, dogs or homosexuals. Having watched you go through this kind of spasm for years now, I suspect that it's all three. Combine this unfortunate reality with likely pyromania and enurisis, and you are a little powder keg, now aren't you?
Edit: OMG, I misspelled "
enuresis" in the text above.

I guess hand grenades would be considered as command detonated bombs too since you ignite the fuse and deliver it.
In which case, command detonated bombs have been around for centuries.
Were you lobbying for their inclusion in PCO?
Good Hunting.

Hells-bells, Lewis, I could actually be a woman. Matrix sells games to gals, too. Are these parts so totally immune to egress by the weaker-sex as to be the exclusive purview of big, hulking masses of masculinity such as yourself?
The answer of course, is no.
And not because wargaming isnt't TOTALLY dominated by men, but because you're
NONE of the things that the rest of us associate with manhood.
- You're peevish and a boor in your approach to folks whom don't know you.
- You're dishonest in every act and deed, as evidenced by ALL your sockpuppets.
- You have no sense of honor, none.
Again, I could actually be a woman.
That said, your profile reads like a
sissy to me.
And I've got to tell you, it's not going anywhere with the locals.
If you think that I'm wrong, check out the feedback that you got in this thread before I posted.
While the above won't mean
anything to you, it will to the rest of our readers.
And it's why you have no place among us.
Or, shall we just refer to you as
Pugsley from here on out?

I believe that the soviets also had some sort of command detonated landmine too.
