Can't get Alt-Tab to work

When I use it, I can get out of the game OK, but when I try to get back in....screen goes black and freezes up....any ideas? Thanks.

I tried to duplicate but it seemed to work fine for me. I tried alt-tab in and out during orders and reaction with no problem, then tried during execution of the phase and still worked ok.
I'm running Win 10. Not sure what else to try.
If you sort it out, please post here.
