Really no way to use my saved files in 4.5?

SPWaW is a tactical squad-level World War II game on single platoon or up to an entire battalion through Europe and the Pacific (1939 to 1945).

Really no way to use my saved files in 4.5?

Post by 1stlt »

I am half way into this massive campaign that span from 1939 to 1945 60 missions. I guess I should not reinstall with the latest version 4.5 until I am done with the current campagin then?

Thanks folks

I dunno. I'm doing the same thing, and I've not encountered a problem with my 4.4 files in 4.5.
I don't have any customized OOBs, icons or sounds though.

One option (as I have done), if you have the space, is to install a second copy of the game in a separate location, until suck time as you finish off all activities in the older version. Just make sure you specify a new directory and a new folder for the "Program Start" icons.

For me, my saves worked nicely. Only thing that didn't work was my secure PBEM games (as expected Image ).

I upgraded from 4.4 to 4.5 during the middle of a campaign with no problems.
BTW hey Bonzo! How can I get in on some of that "suck time"? Image

Everything except PBEM works for me after the upgrade, you should be good to go.

PBEM files will work if it's not a secure game. If it is PBEM with password, the turn will not load.
