i have been thinking of getting this game for a long time and now its reduced in price i am thinking i will get it
BUT will it play on my Win 10 laptop

Yes it will.
However, there is one thing you must do prior to enjoying this game. Go to The Depot
Here!! and download an updated mech.exe file for the Stock Game (8.403). We rewrote a bunch of lines of dodgy code, which fixed a vexatious bug that broke the Artillery. Plus it fixed a few other things.
You do that and you're good to go!!
