I will take a wild guess at a German recon car such as the 222 or maybe one of the British recon vehicles or armoured cars.
Of course, Marines prefer island hopping rather than play in the sand so I could be wrong.[:D]

Dingo! [:)]
Actually it is a Daimler Scout Car.
Although popularly known as the 'Dingo', the name actually relates to an Alvis design which was not successful, however the name was kept.
The type was used by the British and some other Commonwealth Countries throughout World War Two and remained in service until the 1950s when it was replaced by the Daimler Ferret Scout Car.

Is it a Sd Kfz 223 Armoured radio car?
Appears to have the big rectangular frame antenna folded back for travel ( A modification of the Sd Kfz 221 AC with a long range radio).

Yeah, I am with Willy on this one.
It could not be a Dingo because of the digging tool fixed on its side.
So it seems that this one it's a Sdkfz 223 ARC with its antenna folded back. [:)]

You are evil, Omega ... [:D]
Grrr .... the pic you posted is a rear view of the Sdkfz ...
According to digging tools, rear mirror, the shape of the chassis and the mudguard it MUST be a Sdkfzsomething. [:@]
Please ... tell us! I can't eat or sleep!! [:D]

Looks to me to be the front quarter view of a SdKfz 221 A/C: the digging tool, the stowage box on the lower side panel, the front fender design, the open driver's vision slot, the rear view mirror next to the blackout light, all indicators of the 221 MG-armed armoured car.

Ok, is it a Sd Kfz 260/261 armoured radio car? Apparently this vehicle was associated with higher level "Headquarters" units.

It is not Alby’s wife’s car and it is not Alby picking up the dropped groceries at the rear of the vehicle.
No thumb print on the person’s head..[:D]

The first picture:
It is a German sdkfz 221
The print was taken from a roll of negatives found besides a destroyed German vehicle at El Alamein 1942.
The second picture:
A German sdkfz 223 rear view.
Your w's car no no no, was mine ...

Hello Alby.
So that's where it ended up; I parked it while working as a bike messenger (we were issued cool goggles so I had to apply there for employment) at the self-serve car wash. The sand and grit during Toronto Canada winter-time/fall couriering would get me dirty all over .. until I only had two bright red lips and two omelette sized clean skin circles around my eyes once the googles came off.
But once I got me and my Bianchi Italian Road Bicycle cleaned up; it was gone. So where did your wife lose it!
Unless she still has it??
So the radio must've been a special mod eh?! So that every now and then (assuming she over got to drive the beast) you could call in and ask again, "What was the second thing I had to pick up during the advance, er ... ride home?"

I'm guessing a Humber Armored Car. The guy kneeling looks like he is in Brit uniform.
