I know there is a faq thread on installation, but I'm not sure how much of it applies since 7.1 is the only download version available from Matrix. I just installed LV on top of my 7.1 version of SPWAW, but I'm not sure what is supposed to happen now. I still don't see anything but numbers when I use the Megacampaign option from the SPWAW menu, should I be accessing it somewhere else?

The proper path for SPWAW has always been C:\MatrixGames\Steel Panthers World At War Give this a try and see if this resolves your problems. When the installation path comes up during the installation, you need to remove the space between Matrix Games(MatrixGames) and everything after the word War then the installation should install in the correct path. This cropted up during the original 7.1 patch upgrade so I guess this is the installer the're using.

Do I need to go back and install SPWAW in that directory? Right now it's installed in a Matrix Games (with space) directory. I figured as long as both were in the same directory it would work, but I guess not.

Heh...I've always thought that the standard answer should be: Do not use default directories, always define your own. That way when you install a MC you actually have to look up where the spwaw lies and have to enter/select that directory for the installer....

ps. Peregrine, as long as the starting path (spwaw root directory) is the same for both, it should work. The MC installs itself as spwaw subdirectory. due to that typo in installer the MC creates all new paths for itself.

Yes it needs to reinstalled in the directory path I've given you.

I got it working, thanks. I found out it doesn't matter if it's matrixgames or Matrix Games (mine is the latter) as long as both are installed in the same place. The trick was not having all the stuff after Steel panthers. It's a lot of fun so far!
