God I hate idiots

I know its late. I have late classes tomorrow, so I stay up to do some late work on the WPO mod. Suddenly, about 20 minutes ago, some JACKASS pulls the freaking fire alarm. So the entire dorm hall has to evacuate, and I am standing outside with a bunch of other half naked guys for aboiut 15 minutes, freezing my butt off.... GRRR!!!!!!!! It really tickes me off...

Sorry, just had to vent someplace. In related news, does anybody know if there has to be a certain number of ships in a scenario for WiTP to load it? That's the only thing I can thing of that is holding me up.

I know how you feel. I was awoken this morning at 8 am by my downstairs neighbors blasting techno! Very rude indeed. Went out for most of the day so I took my Bose Wave stereo and placed it on the floor on it's side so the speakers were facing downwards. I covered it in blankets and turned the volume all the way up. Could not hear it outside of my apartment but I know they could hear it below me..........

Call me vindictive..... but for some reason I felt a lot better when I came home five hours later. Hmm maybe I'll go for a walk at 3 am.. LOL[:D][:D][:D]

I hope you had it on an endless loop of "The Sounds of Silence" so perhaps the morons
below would get the message. Otherwise you've probably started a "flame war" of
sound and aggrevation for yourself.

I can't help with the mod problem, but if you find out who pulled the alarm, all you need is a humidifier and a 2 liter bottle of flat Sprite. Mix appropriately and place in perpetrator's room with fire alarm handle when he is away.

Last Saturday night my neihbors had a party, and still at 1 am you could hear them in there back yard shrieking.. I cannot even hear the 6 kids next door with the windows closed, and these guys are diagonally acroos the back yard from us?? can you believe them, I was up anyway but my wife is an early riser.. felt like going over and parking my Ford Explorer in front of the idiots and accedentally turning the theft alarm panic on at 3 after the fell asleep, but I didn't do this or call the police as my wife suggested, and my gun stayed locked up too[:-],
Next time I will either nicely ask them to keep it to a dull roar or call the cops... I don't care if they party till dawn, but there should be some reasonable level of noise [&o]

When I was in college (that is, the first time), I used to use the Hallelujah Chorus on our downstairs neighbors when they started the stereo wars. I wanted to use the 1812 Overture, but I was afraid I'd damage my stereo. [:D]

Yup, whenever you get a new pair, don't EVER throw your old ones out. They will come in handy sooner or later.

I'll just have to get a 60ft extension cord for my audio cable, then my immigrant neighbors will get sweet revenge for blasting Turkish oriental-pop-techno at the most inappropriate times of day...mwahahahah.

edit: oh, I forgot. Playing the 1812 overture loud will probably get the best of your speakers, if your amp doesn't have a "soft clipping" circuit or similar. I found that out the empirical way. Fortunately the speakers weren't mine. [;)]

Yeah, but then again they don't deal to well with more delicate sounds. Good for loud music, less good for quality listening. [;)]

When I had these problems I just broke out eh Audio Level tests from 10 to 24Khz. It is an endless loop oh differnt levels of screeching. [8D] The Abrupt changes from 16 to 22Khz is especially nerve aracking.

I curreently have a couple of neighbors that get people pullig into the parkng lot about 11 PM to 3 am and Honkng thehorn for them, usually when rent is due, [8|] I started answering the honks from the parking lot with an Air horn, and my telphone to the local PD. Funny how they have stopped coming by when they get pulled over down the street by the PD. Strange part is I have not seen some of them for several weeks, I guess whatever the neighbor was giving them got hem in trouble .[:-]

No, it is pretty quieet. We just have this lovely Blonde lady that has a LOSER for a boyfriend. He moved in with her and this crap started. He has been in Jail twice, once for possesion once for intent to sell. I watched him smack the lady once and my GF had to practically tackle so i ddin't have a nasty inquiry to deal with. I am just doing my part as a concerened citizen to give him a third strike.
He is a real Dirt bag.
