I was robbed...

...I think. Playing Germany in a head to head with UK & France. German turn 1/1/40. Started turn with 97.xxx PPs.
I bought 1 amphib point for 80PPs. But when I went to deploy units and/or deploy ships, there was nothing to deploy. Yes, the 80 PPs were taken, leaving 17.xxx PPs. I also checked the 2 German naval bases-neither had an amphib point in them. Also checked all sea areas-nada.
OK, is there a time factor here? If so, where do I look to see when my amphib is ready?
Thanks, Hugh Browne

The Amphib APs show up at the top of the screen, but the AP really represents amphibious capacity, and does not instantiate until you position a unit in the vicinity of a port and click the Amphib button. Then it will place the unit on a TA if it is small enough to fit. Think carefully about this, as the only way to unload the unit is an assault on a shore. You cannot just unload the seasick troops in a port.

Chuck-OK, thanks for that. Here's where I'm at. Found my 1-5 Inf. embarked in amphib point at Rostock. Have declared war on Denmark. Moved amphib point to Baltic sea area(only move available) along with 2 OBBs.
However, on the next German turn when I hit amphib point, select all, move fleet, got a green line to Copenhagen, I tried to move amphib to Copenhagen and it wouldn't go there.
So, how DOES one execute an amphibious assault?
Thanks, Hugh

Hugh,
You don't actually move to Copenhagen, you unload the troops there, or nearby. Denmark has coasts on multiple sea zones. Find one coast hex that says "Unload units from the sea!" when you hover over the Amphib Unload button. There should be a few, and you can select one. Even though there is no garrison as such, try and select one a bit away from Copenhagen itself as your losses will be lighter.
