Readme for 1.7 Patch?

Post by Romdanzer »

Hi,

I read on the Wastelands Interactive Twitter and Facebook that the 1.7 Patch is almost finished and being prepared for external test [8D]:

http://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=181742552550&id=141472523427

would the content for this 1.7 Patch therefore be so far set that you could post a feature-list? [:D]

pretty please? [:)]

Hi Doomtrader,

OK thanks for the info! - I guess my question was mainly to the point if saved games from 1.6 will be able to be used with 1.7 i.e. is the 1.7 patch large? Mostprobably not...so saved games should be usable

but anyway I guess in the meantime I'll just have to have patience ... or as they say in Poland "Cierpliwosc" right? [:)]

...Still in the process of learning Polish from my wife [;)]

Even an event for Mussolini's liberation, that's interesting.

IMO the human player USSR has been nerfed. They can't get insane WE any more from warring with minors or raise it past 200 with Industrialization events, something the AI probably wouldn't do.

Added Aircraft Carrier assault on ports feature

Please advise what this new feature does - what effect on ports?

If aircraft carriers can attack ports, why not other air units?

Ships stationed in port might be damaged
If aircraft carriers can attack ports, why not other air units?
Any unit (land/air) which is a close enough to Sea Zone might be attacked

Is there a fix in this patch for the out of sync problem I raised in another post for PBEM games? That is the game not recognizing me as the German player when I am actually German?

The second issue seems also very interesting, in fact so much that it may even equal the importance of the fighters. How is this done?

How is this done?
If you choose a coastal hex occupied with an enemy unit and you have some units in the adjacent sea zone, you can select amph. assault.
So your unit will attack enemy with 33% (moddable) of it's strength.

Texhorns - this is modable - go into the file "sea edges" in the scenario folder and here you can modify the connections between the sea nodes. The sea nodes are described in the file "sea nodes". There are ocean parts or "seas" and ports. The connections between them are listed in the above mentioned file "sea edges".

I hope that helps - or also read my post in the section "Scenarios and Mods"
