We have a patch to fix some of the issues that have arisen with v1.70. It is available in the Members Club. Including the following;

o Improved stability during naval turn.
o Corrected lack of six during dice roll.
o Deploy preferences are now saved during the game play.

You will need to Register your game, if you haven't already, and then click on Registered Downloads.

Hi Andrew, is this hot-fix going to be sent out to GamersGate for those of us who purchased it from there? My serial doesn't work on the Matrix Games link/installer of the hot-fix found on the members download page.

Funny thing is I can never get the members club to work,

It recognizes me here as signed in butt, when I go to members club I can't get in.

Please Email me.

This has been updated to include the GamersGate Serial numbers, and we will make it publicly available to download.

The members club has a different username/password than the forums.
You'll have to specifically register for the club.

Confusing but true.

Yeah, Andrew. The new link in the press release forum from Sean D. works for GamersGate. Many thanks!

This hotfix crashes badly, I it won't reconize my latest save CTD on startup on my save games. Should the version show 1.70a or 1.70 my ver shows 1.70?

OldSpec4,

I just genned one up and have made it through two research cycles without problem.  Could you look at the ConsoleOut.txt file in the ToW folder with Notepad and see what the last lines say about the problem.  I doubt I can help you but it might help to see what diagnostics we have.

Good morning Mike,

I was afraid this was going to be one where I cannot help, and indeed I cannot.  You might want to start a thread in Tech Support so the developers see it when they check in.  In the thread you will want to post the quote from ConsoleOut.txt as above, and attach a zip of the Autosave folder.

Give them a heads up on your version ("1.7 hotfix") and some machine and operating system specs, to help them help you.

Good luck.

Chuck

Will post under tech support when I get some time.

Ok thanks. did this once before, but with my new ISP account, updating all my passwords and Email and then reformating the hard drive a couple of times over the last 3 months................... It gets confusing. Apparently that members login was not updated and recorded in mydata base.

can you patch this direct or do you need to first have 1.6 or 1.7 patched?

1.70 includes 1.60 fixes so you should install 1.70 and 1.70 hotfix
