other than a little more stable platform I would liek to see this go from super basic, to a more advanced game with roads and rails and a supply system that is a little more coherent.. perhaps depots and a reworkin gof how supply is distributed..
Add - ons for the military to specialize ... only for corps.. anti tank air ec...

Construction and destruction of forts and Anti Aircraft guns would be a nice change instead of having the events that tell you what to do. I don't think the game should get any more complex than it is, It would have been nice to stack counters ... maybe we reached the point where it is time to move on to another game.
I think if they left the game exactly how it is, fixed the bombers and , put in navy hexs and naval combat (who cares about the time/distance issue its just a game) and let us stack counters this would be an epic game. The supply idea would be nice maybe we could bomb the railways with our strategic bombers give them something else to do. It could be like Commander Europe at War expect better.. I also like the idea of oil and manpower.. This game is better that Commander Europe at War anyone that has played both will probably agree, but there is still something about the setup they use that is attractive.

you actually have a prety sweet way of avoidingthe stack, its called upgrade.. so you go from a level one division to a level 4 corps.. we are talkingthe whloe range of sizes here, the onluy thing you cannot do is adjust strength between units... I thought about this and it is an interesting work around.. stacks just do not fit this model at all... but I think with all the new toys this one is being put away.. so long sweet beer and pretzal game!lol

Well actually I wouldn't really call the upgrading of Divisions to Corps real "stacking" - it is in a way but you only have those two options - 1 Division or 3 Divisons. It's the only thing possible with this type of game engine which comes anywhere near to such a thing as "Stacking" so I accept it - but it's not really what I would imagine from an ideal WW2 game.
In essence all your main points are right - we need a Naval system like SoP, better stacking system, better supply system, ability to influence hex-infrastructure (anti-aircraft, forts, railroads etc...), maybe an overhauled and improved air system .... all many different kinds of aspects.
The fundamental underlying issue is the fact that all these things are just too difficult if not impossible to implement with this current game engine. So.... therefore....to be honest your point is actually not just a maybe:
...we reached the point where it is time to move on to another game...
Remembering the fact that you have to prioritise the development resources WI has I say this: Let's indeed MOVE ON - The next step is Storm over the Pacific and after that my holy grail: Bitter Glory.
Bitter Glory has all the potential to have all these things we want.
And with a good AI script support system (i.e. where the AI takes over subsystems of the game for you, where you only give general "orders" to prioritize which aspects and therefore minimize micro-management; accordingly resulting in different possible levels of player involvement in game management) it does not necessarily have to be a die-hards only game. It could also be a good beer and pretzels game if organized and programmed correctly.
