Next patch

Matrix Games and Simulations Canada combine and completely remake two classic NATO vs. Warsaw Pact wargames into a new classic. Based on the original wargames “Main Battle Tank: North Germany” and “Main Battle Tank: Central Germany”, Flashpoint Germany is a new grand tactical wargame of modern combat. Every aspect of modern grand tactical warfare is included, from advanced armor, air and helicopters to chemical and tactical nuclear weapons. Step into the most dangerous war.. . that never was.

wodin,

It is a big patch. 70mb big at last count. It has many bug fixes, feature add-ons, combat engine refinements, sound and graphics tweaks, updated documentation and scenarios. As for the dismounted infantry they are in the plan for the next game in the series along with other enhancements and refinements. More information on the new game should start to filter out over the next few months. We have spent a great deal of time and effort to address a number of issues related to the current game. A great deal of this work will get rolled over into the new game along with the many new features.

Bottom line, the 1.1 update for FPG plays like a whole new game. We think you will enjoy it. [:D]

I see only two glitches which is not bad after an afternoon at the dentist getting some long fused roots extracted. Loads of fun. The Tylenol 3 also plays a part too. Then again my spelling isn't the greatest to begin with. [;)]

Hey guys, is the patch finally going to come out this week? I'm going on a lot of business trips next week, and it'd be nice to pass the long hours stuck in an aluminum tube with wings by playing some revamped Flashpoint Germany.

Just had a look at the new patch. Those are nice enhancements, and I both congratulate and thank you.

I was really hoping to see those Canadians, though. [:)]

I have 4 CMBG all set up in my notes but just did not have time to get to them for this release. The problem isn't coding so much as getting the artwork, etc. The data model also makes it hard to just drop in a new nationality. Now that 110 is out we are going to rework the data model *extensively* to make that sort of thing easier. Guess who is going to be the test case for that? Yup, the Canucks.

Cheers, Rob.
