Custom maps?

Is it possible to make new maps without extencive modding experience?

Not at the moment. There is some talk from the Dev's on adding that feature down the road. There is also some talk of expansions down the road too. I'm sure Robert or Erik can give a more concrete response.

Nice!
It would be nice to be able to add new units also. Then you could simulate more conflict around the globe. But maybe thats for an expansion.
Anyway this is a great game!

More units and unit structures are on the way for the initial 4 countries. I also understand, like the maps, the Dev's plan to and more units and countries in expansions. I'm sure they can talk to that as well.

More maps would be great. Including other theaters like eastern europe, afganistan, Italy...

Some kind of map editor would be really nice; even something basic that would let you import a map photo and assign visibility, elevation values, roads, rivers, bridges, ect to the map grids would be really cool.
