After I have communicated with another race, I click on the icon to continue but the game just brings up another communication screen. This only happens if I intiate the communication, if I receive a communication from another race, everything works fine.
Help.

It's waiting for you to properly end the conversation. Just press "Never mind" and click the checkmark (continue) key (or spacebar) again.
