Can you design option plays?

Post by BonePanzer »

Is it possible to design option plays either out of the shotgun or in a wishbone formation?

The option was taken out because it was a huge AI buster

Dunno for sure if it's gonna be put back in at a later time

i just produced the 3 possible options for a play, added them as audibles and run the option play based on the defense. exact same plays just different player gets the rock.

example....
WB N 2 2 Trple Opt
WB N 1 8 Trple Opt
WB N 3 8 Trple Opt

check out the Wishbone Normal Playbook on fbmax.com under unsorted files. might give you can idea.

hack,

until the option is put back in (assuming it does eventually), that's a good way of utilizing an option.

I want to put the option back in.

I think the defense, especially on plays run to the outside, has improved to the point where it should be able to deal with the option. At least that is my assesment without actually having put the option back in and trying it myself.

It's something I need do some more investigation on.

I was actually interested in trying some version of the spread option.

Thanks for the replies

David,

Although I have and continue to be a huge supporter of not only this game but you as a developer, this specifically would be my only complaint. I think adding the option to the game would be a huge benefit not only from the flexability of making plays but also from the standpoint that many offenses today (especially college) use either this type of offensive game plan or this style modified into a spread offense. Hopefully this will be added to your to do list very soon.
