Hacks_Plays_v3_1
After many weeks, I have finally uploaded my latest playbooks onto FBMAX.com. It is under the "unsorted files".
These are only 2 of the 12 playbooks that I am currently working on.
Each playbook takes about two weeks or more to create. I am creating all plays from scratch due to modifications and upgrades.
Modifications / Upgrades from Version 2:
+Team Playbooks will not share the same plays, except for special teams
+Passing plays have OL drop back and create a pocket for the QB (thanks to Deft's suggestion)
+Running plays have OL move and create holes (somewhat)
+Defensive plays have DL move, then pass/run rush
+Playbooks have many more detailed groups, including 4th down attempts, comebacks, clock control, etc. (thanks to DreamTeams suggestions)
+Playbooks contain only 6 Offensive formations, and 4-6 Defensive formations
-Each offensive formation contains 6-10 plays, and defensive formations vary.
+Some plays now use man-in-motion
They are probably other modifications I have made. My play file does not include any other plays or playbooks besides the ones that I have created. My playbooks also checks "situation specific" on most Nickel, Dime, GL, etc plays. You may want to switch these off. I'm still toying with that aspect.
Give me some feedback, and suggestions on how they can be made better.
I hope these work out well for you.
fyi...it seems that the cpu takes a couple plays to figure out when to start using plays from the correct groups. just something i've observed since MF 2.2 was released. Other than that, all seems to be working well.

RE: Hacks_Plays_v3_1
Will these have QB drops to knee and its been a while, but does this now use first and second half playbooks?
RE: Hacks_Plays_v3_1
I have been using your last version with Quxian's NFL rosters. Your playbooks are very good and make the game more enjoyable for me, thanks.
One question I have is can you tell me what philosophy is behind each playbook (i.e. TEAM Dallas = Heavy Pass, TEAM DENVER = BALANCE)?
This would make it easier to build a draft profile and assigned the playbooks properly.
Thanks

RE: Hacks_Plays_v3_1
These plays are great in version 3. QB spread the ball around to 5 different receivers just on one teams possession in which resulted in a score. Nice protection by the OL and great blocking overall. Running game was very realistic, watched RB delay and found holes to go through. Looking forward to other sets. Very nice job Hack, very enjoyable!
RE: Hacks_Plays_v3_1
Any chance of you doing playbooks for CFl or 12 man teams Hack
Thanks, Mykal

"Will these have QB drops to knee and its been a while, but does this now use first and second half playbooks?"
Yes, there is a QB Kneeldown with groups to end the game in that manner.
Yes, there are multiple offensive and defensive groups for the 2nd half.

Coach_Miller --> AIR ATTACK, uses 4 WRs evenly / 3-4 Defense
Coach_Brown --> RUN HEAVY, utilizes the HB as the key runner, with the 3HB getting some carries. / 3-4 Defense
COMING UP......v3.2
Coach_Wilson --> RUN HEAVY --> entire offense centered around the QB / 3-4 DEF
Coach_Davis_Jr --> PASS BALANCED --> utlizes 3 WRs, 1 TE, and 1 HB / 4-3 DEF (per DreamTeams request)
Any chance of you doing playbooks for CFl or 12 man teams
Not at this moment. I would have to do some learning about the CFl. I watched it as a kid in (way, way, way) upstate NY, but don't know a whole lot about their formations and plays.

sorry about that, but once i finish my 12 playbooks, i'll start looking at CFL playbooks. i think with a little research, i should be able to create something,
RE: Hacks_Plays_v3_1
hack, thank you very much for these playbooks there are many solid playbooks out there but the attention to detail in these put them a cut above.
by the way I have a little bit more free time now because school is out and I am thinking about creating some play books of my own. I was wondering if you could give some general tips related to play creation and using PDS

RE: Hacks_Plays_v3_1
sure.
couple first things --> research, take your time, and don't be afraid to be too detailed.
here are several good websites that i use for inspiration:
http://www.sportsgameratings.com/module ... search.php
http://www.football.com/playbook/index.html
Madden and NCAA Football have helped me get an idea on a lot of plays. Why re-create the wheel when they are plenty of examples to look at and make adjustments on.
if you look at most of my plays you can start to figure out my patterns. i'm OCD and attempt to keep things consistent from playbook to playbook.
example...
++++QB drop yds (have the QB "Wait .15" before dropping back for the CT, and then "Wait # again before passing)
++++you'll notice that i never use timed passes. they are not reliable.
++++OL movement for pass blocking and run blocking
++++WR routes, and timing (USE "Wait .15" before moving, and then again on some route's last logic)
++++i also tend to have HBs "Wait .15/.25" before getting the ball handed off to them to allow for blockers to set-up.
++++Defensive rushing-->i don't allow any DEF players to make movements one yard beyond the OL. this way the OL actually have a chance to defend.
++++Pass Coverage --> use "Non-backfield" or "backfield", avoid "either". "either" used to work great, but with 2.2, it's not working so well. keep your coverage variable consistent. i use "speed" most often.
++++i make charts of everything. they help me in creating groups. i know what defensive formations will cover so many players M2M, and how many players are "reading"/"keying" (ETC.). this way i am not putting a 3-4 def (which has 3 players M2M vs. 3 Non-backfield) against an offensive formation with 4 WRs.
just some thoughts. if you have some specific questions, just ask. there are also a lot of other play creators out there that have a lot more knowledge than i have and who actually helped me (Deft, DreamTeams, etc.)
hope this helps.

hack these will have to be in the maxmod (with your blessing of course)
RE: Hacks_Plays_v3_1
Great update, Hack! Nice work on incorporating more slants/drags/underneath routes on offense - helps keep the QB from getting beheaded on a blitz. D-line seems to be rushing better on the 34 D this time around also. Saw a few new holes opening up on running plays too with the changes to the O line movement. Keep up the good work - can't wait to try out some of the new I form stuff in a future release. [:)]

maxmod. sure. sounds good to me.
RE: Hacks_Plays_v3_1
Some feedback...
I have incorporated the Brown and Miller gameplans into my NFL style short season league, the Domestic Football League.
The San Bernadino Sharks were 1-5 in the inaugural season of the league and needed a change from their Flexbone offense. In their first game with the wishbone offense, they lost 14-7. Likewise, the Olympia Big Bears switched to the 4 wide offense of your Buffalo gameplan. In their first game, they lost 20-16, losing on a touchdown in the waning minutes.
Some comments,
-toss plays need more lead blockers as they struggled to gain ground.
-I love your defenses, the 3 deep zones do a better job of containing big pass plays over my cover 2 options.
-the 4 wide offense is real good and will probably help turn the dismal Bears around.
- your blocking scheme is working well, and I like your pass plays
Here is the outcome of the buffalo playbook in the first game against my 43 defense.

RE: Hacks_Plays_v3_1
thanks for the feedback! i'll re-look at the "toss" plays and look into making changes for v3_2. you will see more "power tosses" in the next release with Coach_Wilson.
thanks again.
thanks again.
