it would be nice if the NFL had at least one team in Canada(or had one or two teams from the CFL move to the NFL). and nice roof.
Back from the dead, I'm here to make ammends with the people I've ticked off and the people that were nice enough to make stuff I requested.

I agree (of course this is a given with what I want to accomplish with The GW'sFBA), up to the point of relocating any Franchises to either country.

David Winter,

Do you know if it is publicly owned? I do like Publicly funded companies' structures, let alone sports' falicities.

The vast majority of stadiums and arenas in Canada are publicly owned. Only Rogers Centre (formally SkyDome) is privately owned if I recall correctly. Some facilities, like this one proposed, may have private funding involved, but more than half is paid for by the tax payers.

Personally I have no problem with it considering the last one built for Winnipeg was 54 years ago. It's not like new stadiums are built every 10 years or something. After more than 50 years, the city needs a new stadium.

I've seen tax payer money spent on far worse lol...

That's a nice looking stadium.

I may just have to take a trip north of the border to see it first hand after it is built.

$150 millian is pretty cheap by modern stadium standards. I wonder if it won't have state of the art facilities like luxury suites and club seating. I don't see them in the artist's drawing.

Nice looking stadium if it is built.

There are rumours here in Calgary that McMahon Stadium is going to be renovated this year or next as the provincial government has alloted some money ($320 million) to fix up infrastructure around the province and McMahon Stadium was granted some of it. Some speculate that seating will be increased to 40,000, but that's highly unlikely. Others say that more luxury or betters seats will replace bleachers to bring down capacity a couple of thousand seats. Others just say the concourse, restrooms and food areas will be updated.
