getting a wierd number on my screen

This can happen sometimes. I can't recall what causes it or whether it was fully fixed in the latest version. What version are you using? From what I recall it's harmless, although understandably confusing.

It happens when you try to move units in politically frozen areas (except for supplies), but it does not affect the game.
