question on how to use the ladder

A Ladder is a means to track your success agaisnt a pool of opponents over time. You get points for each game you play, and the better you do, the more points you get! Can you climb the ladder to the TOP? How long can you stay there?

jan, i have read the the thread on the procedures for the ladder but when the game is finished it says each player post in ladder forum.i have a question about that process:
1)who actually places the points earned in the ladder standings(is it the players or you that does that)?
