I did a quick search of the Forum and did not find anyone else reporting this problem:

I bought and loaded the game, downloaded and applied the 1.41 patch. When I try to start the game all I get is a dark screen with a cursor and about a 1/2 square inch piece of the screen display where the cursor is. The sound seems to work. But that's all I get.

I loaded the game on my son's PC (Windows 98) and it seems to work fine, so it must have something to do with my computer (Windows XP Home Edition, Version 2002, Service Pack 1).

Any suggestions?

IIRC, the 1.41 patch is for SP2. Developers would know better but try updating to SP2 and check any drivers that need updating.

Thanks donkuchi, I updated to SP2 and the game seems to work now. l played about 15 GTs with minimal problems. I'll check for updated drivers when I have more time this weekend.
