Just bought game: REBOOTING SYSTEM!!!?!

I cannot get past the opening select difficulty screen?!?!?

I installed the game.

I installed the latest patch.

I see the opening movie.

I go to the first screen and select 1600x1200 resolution.

I select normal difficulty.

The loading screen appears and halfway through: MY COMPUTER SHUTS DOWN AND REBOOTS!!!!

HELP!

Please post the contents of the latest version crash file. The crash file can be found in the UFO Extraterrestrials folder and begins with the name crash. If you cannot find this file, please post the contents of console.txt. BTW I also play @ 1600x1200 without error.
