Missing Photos

Command Ops: Battles From The Bulge takes the highly acclaimed Airborne Assault engine back to the West Front for the crucial engagements during the Ardennes Offensive. Test your command skills in the fiery crucible of Airborne Assault’s “pausable continuous time” uber-realistic game engine. It's up to you to develop the strategy, issue the orders, set the pace, and try to win the laurels of victory in the cold, shadowy Ardennes.
Command Ops: Highway to the Reich brings us to the setting of one of the most epic and controversial battles of World War II: Operation Market-Garden, covering every major engagement along Hell’s Highway, from the surprise capture of Joe’s Bridge by the Irish Guards a week before the offensive to the final battles on “The Island” south of Arnhem.

Missing Photos

Post by Arjuna »

Hi all,

There are some estab items that don't have a picture. If anyone has a publicly available ( ie free of any copyright constraints ) photo or illustration of a one of these, please let us know the source and we'll see if we can add it into a patch. I want to know the source before we can include it. No source, no include. Thanks.

It would help if the above post had a listing of missing pictures [;)]

I give up...what do you need pictures of to complete your equipment listing?

This is a Dr.Strangelove moment: It doesn't do any good if you keep it a secret![:D]

Sorry but I don't have time right now to compile such a list. Perhaps one of you would like to volunteer? It would be a case of opeing up each of the weapons and vehicles in the EstabEditor and noting the name of any that don't have a photo. [:)]

List of Missing Photos

Post by Wild_9 »

I was thinking of posting this in the Tech Support, but since Arjuna has made a dedicated thread - here it goes.

By going through the Estab Editor, I made a list of the Vehicles and Weapons that have no pictures. Some weapons are Vehicle-mounted/Turreted weapons, so it must be decided whether the whole vehicle pictures are going to be used or just the turret/mounted weapon itself.

The attached list is in the ".xls" spreadsheet format but, in order to be able to attach it to this thread, I had to change its original extension to ".txt". Therefore, before attempting to open the file, you would need to revert its extension back to ".xls".

Arjuna,
Could you please attach the spreadsheet file to your first post, so that everyone could see the list when they enter this thread?

Thanks.

Since I don't have mine yet may I ask:  Are the pictures easy to replace with other pics?

I'm so thankful for the pics of equipment.  I think I made some of the earliest comments back in the HttR days asking for better vehicle and weapons graphic (for the immersion aspect) and sure enough here they are.

My only comment is whether the pics are moddable?  I'm a big fan of black on white silhouettes like what's in the Army ID manuals.  But I like the photo's too.  I'm easily swayed either way.  Both SSG and HPS games have graphics that are fairly easy to replace with alternatives.

just a thought

Can mod almost everything - graphics, images, statistics, descriptions.
