Analog Kid reminded me of this issue, in his "Just got it"-thread.

I keep losing all sounds sometimes, and I experience this since HttR.

In my experience, it appears if you keep loading/re-loading savegames (i.e. to search for a certain savegame) for some time. While Analog Kid reports that there's a "main menu" ship-around-thingy (going back to the Main Menu, then loading a game from there), this rarely works for me, as I can never tell when the sounds disappear again, but they do. I have to restart the game each time to make sure it's "fixed"/cured.

Is this a known problem?

I was having the same problem last night. The sound was intermittent. I was playing the tutorials and I kept reloading the saved games. It did not occure to me that loading the saved games was causing the sound issues. I am going to have to try a game tonight without loading to see if this happens.[font="times new roman"] [/font]

I have for a while noticed some sound drop outs with HTTR and COTA when you load a save game from within the game itself as opposed to the main menu.

FYI: I have also noticed that sometimes the sound is gone. I didn't know what event triggered it, I don't know if loading a saved game did it. Restarting the game fixed it.

Yes the sound does sometimes mysteriously drop out. I have looked into this, but to no avail. I am not a sound expert. I'll see if we can find an expert to look into it. This will be for BFTB.
